“Childhood is a gift—together we celebrate it with care, fun and wonder.”
Our Mission Statement
“There is always one moment in childhood when the door opens and lets the future in.”
Graham Greene
Our children are precious to us, and we hope that the door is always open to let the very best into their lives as they learn and grow.

At Phoenix Pre-School, the door is always open.

We provide childcare which is safe, nurturing, stimulating and enlightening. We value kindness and tolerance—the heart of all good families—but also inquisitiveness and the joy of living. We love arts and crafts, song and story, cooking and creative mark-making. We love to see children enriched by a healthy lifestyle which includes exercise and wholesome food. We love to laugh but also to learn through play and experience, both in and outside of our setting.

We know how important Literacy and Mathematics are too—and seek to bring these into every child’s learning experience each day at an age-appropriate level. From writing in the sand, to counting spots on a ladybird or talking about the puppet show we have just seen, Phoenix staff keep a constant watch to ensure that next steps are met. One of the first steps we take? A little gift from us to share our love of reading: a soft book for babies or a paperback book we love which is age-appropriate for each child. They find the book in their welcome pack.

When children come to Phoenix Pre-School we treat them as we do our own. Childhood is an adventure we want to share with each child, safely and with the best choices made for everyone. We know that all children are special and individual. We encourage that, of course, while recognising that this sometimes means that care should be a little different for some children. That is never a problem—and we enjoy talking to parents about their child—after all, who knows a child better?

One of the most valuable resources we have—our staff. Without them, we could not achieve all we aim to achieve.
We look forward to working with you!
